HEY EVERYBODY,

WELL ANOTHER WEEK HAS GONE BY. THE TRANSFERS HAVE GONE BY AND I AM STAYING IN FARR WEST. ELDER BOHNE IS STAYING WITH ME AND PRESIDENT GRIFFON (PLAIN CITY STAKE) TELLS US THERE ARE GOING TO BE SOME BIG CHANGES THAT WILL BRING US A LOT MORE WORK.

WELL SO FAR OUT HERE THE LORD HAS HAD FIVE BAPTISMS THAT I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN. RENEE WALLS (60'S) MANDI MANORE(18) ASHLEY AND ALEX TAYLOR (9 YEAR OLD TWINS) TAYLOR BENNETT (10) AND BRENDAN CHILD(9). I GUESS THE KIDS ARE EASIER TO FIND.

AT THE MOMENT WE HAVE TWO WITH A BAPTISMAL DATE. THEY HAVE STARTED TO KEEP THEIR COMMITMENTS. SO WE ARE EXCITED TO KEEP WORKING WITH THEM.

I AM HAPPY TO HEAR THAT THE WARD WANTS TO INITIATE THE 21 DAY CHALLENGE I KNOW THAT NOT ONLY WILL IT WORK BUT IT WILL BRING FAMILIES CLOSER TOGETHER. I CAN'T WAIT TILL I HEAR ABOUT THE RESULTS OF THE CHALLENGE.

SO HOW ARE THINGS DOWN THERE DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW PROSPECTIVE INVESTIGATORS? HOW GOES THE WORK ON THE HIGH RISE? I WILL NEED SOME PICTURES OF THESE JOBS YOU ALL ARE DOING.

LOVE YOU ALL

5-12-09

Well, it was great getting to talk to you all on Sunday. The reason that I talked for only 40 minutes was because I was being obedient to President Monson's rules for all missionaries, and if he says it then it comes from The Lord.

I ask that you all would pray for my companion's mother as she is having some after surgery complications.

I HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD OUT HERE. WE HAVE TWO BAPTISMS THIS WEEK. TAYLOR BENNETT IS BEING BAPTIZED AND SO IS BRENDAN CHILD. WE ARE GETTING EXCITED FOR HIM. HE IS AUTISTIC AND IS STRUGGLING BUT IS WINNING THE BATTLE AND IS RETAINING ENOUGH INFORMATION TO BE ABLE TO BE BAPTIZED.

THIS WEEK IS EXCITING. OH BY THE WAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE BEEN DOING SO MUCH LEARNING AS I READ THE BOOK OF MORMON DAILY. I HAVE GROWN TO LOVE IT MORE THAN I EVER HAVE. I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT WORK IS STILL PROGRESSING. TODAY I WILL BE SENDING THAT CHALLENGE TO ALL OF YOU. NOT ONLY MOM AND DAD BUT FOR ALL OF YOU!! THIS WILL HELP TO HAVE THE LORD'S WORK PROGRESS IN ARIZONA AND IT WILL BRING A GREATER SENSE OF LOVE TO THE HOME.

I AM GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ALL ARE KEEPING WORK AND BEING ABLE TO HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO MEET NEEDS AND MORE. HAVE FUN AT FATHERS AND SONS. HAVE FUN ON GIRLS NIGHT OUT.

LOVE YOU ALL

HAPPY Cinco De Mayo!

Well it happens soon! I will be calling on Sunday at 6:00 here or 5:00 there. That is going to be fun! Make sure you are ready because I get about 40 minutes to talk. We only had two of the three baptisms we expected but the other pushed their date to the end of the month. I will be sending something that I want you to do as a family. This will help the missionaries in your ward move the lords work forward.

I am glad the work on houses and offices is still going forward there. You will have to send some pictures.

I just want to thank you all for all that you do for me.

Things out here are still progressing. We have several families that are doing the challenge that we are sending you to do.

Love you all!!

LETTER FROM THE MISSION PRESIDENT: SWINE FLU

Dear Parents of Missionaries in the Utah Ogden Mission:
Please be aware that, although swine flu has not yet been confirmed in Utah, we are taking serious precautions to protect your missionary. The instructions issued by text message to your missionary are set out below. Please encourage your missionary, in your weekly emails, to take these precautions seriously for as long as the threat remains.
If any close relative of your missionary becomes infected with swine flu, please let us know immediately by email or phone. All our missionaries worry about family members, and we want to keep them fully informed.
Thank you for your help. We love and care for your missionary.
Our love and very best wishes to you,
Sincerely,
