I THINK I WILL START WITH THE QUESTIONS.

1. How has your week gone? Is the snow all melted?
IT WAS GONE BUT WE GOT SOME MORE THIS MORNING WHILE WE WERE IN THE TEMPLE 
2. What kinds of service have you been able to do the last few months? (ex. rake leaves, snow shoveling, etc.)
SHOVELED SNOW THIS MORNING FOR THE FAMILY HISTORY CENTER
3. Have you had green jello with pineapple and cottage cheese this week?
 NOPE AND HOPE I DONT
4. What is the top nastiest food that you have had?
 I THINK IT IS THE SAME AS I TOLD YOU LAST
5. What kind of food do you have the most often? Do you miss Phoenix's Mexican food?
 MEXICAN FOOD, AND YES I DO MISS PHOENIX'S MEXICAN FOOD
6. How many wards do you cover right now?  I forgot!!
 18 WARDS WITHIN 2 STAKES AND ONE BRANCH (TONGAN SPEAKING)
7. What kind of things can you do on your p-day? (What have you already done today, and what are you plans for the rest of the day?)
 WE HAVE GONE TO THE TEMPLE AND SHOVELED SNOW. WE WILL BE GOING SHOPPING AND THEN WE WILL BE PLAYING GAMES AS A DISTRICT.
8. Tell us another faith promoting story?? 
 JUST THIS WEEK I WAS FEELING A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED ABOUT NOT FINDING AS MUCH WORK I STARTED PRAYING ABOUT IT AND A FEW DAYS LATER WE GOT A CALL ABOUT A GUY THAT WANTED TO BE BAPTIZED. HE HAD BEEN GOING TO CHURCH FOR TWO MONTHS. HE WAS WAY EXCITED AND WILL BE GETTING BAPTIZED THIS WEEK. 
9. Do you want to live up there when you get done with your mission??
 NO! I HATE THE SNOW!!!
10. What do you like more hot or cold weather?
 HOT HOT HOT!!!
11.  Marvin and Sarah will be up there this weekend, do you have anything for them to pick up and bring back?
 I CANT THINK OF ANYTHING
12. What words of wisdom would you give to parents of young boys, and the young boys themselves to prepare them for a mission?

I FEEL LIKE THIS IS ONE OF THE HARDEST QUESTIONS TO ANSWER AT THIS TIME. I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS THAT WOULD BE GOOD FOR PARENTS TO ASK THEIR SONS OR EVEN DAUGHTORS. 1.) ARE YOU PLANNING ON GOING ON A MISSION? 2.) IF NO THEN WOULD IT BE IMPORTANT TO GO ON A MISSION IF THE CHURCH IS TRUE? 3.) WHY WOULD IT BE IMPORTANT? 4.) HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT IF THE CHURCH IS TRUE? 5.) WILL YOU TAKE UP MORONI'S PROMISE MORONI 10:3-5? HAVE THEM SHARE THEIR TESTIMONY WITH YOU AND YOU SHARE YOURS WITH THEM. READ SCRIPTURES AS A FAMILY.

HOW GOES THE STUDY OF THE BOOK OF MORMON?

Hey Everyone,

The week has gone well. We had two baptisms and of course i forgot my camera and cords at home so I will not be able to send pictures again. I will try to remember that next week. The time goes by too fast I only have a month left. :-(  I love you guys but it is always sad to leave and come home. I honestly have bad dreams about going home and bad things happening.

I am glad to hear that the wedding went well. thank you for picking my stuff up. What did you think when you saw the apartment? Looks roomy Huh? (Note: The 14th of Jan. Rod and I went to my nieces wedding in SLC. We then went to Ogden to Brother Atkinson's home (the Ward Mission Leader there) to pick up some of Elder Lunt's things he won't be needing for the last month of his mission. Brother Atkinson had not obtained all of the things Elder Lunt want to send home, so he called Elder Lunt, told him to leave them where we could get them, and then leave the apartment until we had gone. We didn't see or talk to Elder Lunt while we were there.)

Hey everyone,

 

THE WEEK HAS BEEN GOOD. MY NEW COMPANION IS ELDER COX HE IS FROM RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA. HE IS A GREAT MISSIONARY ALREADY. 

ELDER CHRISTENSEN (ONE OF THE MISSIONARIES IN THE DISTRICT) HELPED TO PLAN DISTRICT MEETING HE WILL ALSO BE HELPING ME TO TRAIN ALL THE ELDERS. I FEEL BLESSED TO HAVE THESE MISSIONARIES IN THE DISTRICT THE LORD CONTINUES TO RAIN BLESSINGS DOWN UPON HIS SERVANTS.

 

A study assignment:

I sent several copies of the Book of Mormon to you with the Rajes, the study I would like to invite each of you to do is to read the Book of Mormon. that is the easy part now for the hard part but the most important part. As you read highlight each time Christ or one of his many names are mentioned, ie. Lord, Savior, Redeemer... I have done this study and I want you to know that my testimony of many things has been strengthened. The promises in the introduction were fulfilled in me. I know that Christ is my Savior. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet. I know that The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's kingdom on the earth. (Note: for those of you who reading this blog, you can get a Book of Mormon, and follow this challenge.)

IT WAS MORE OF SOMETHING THAT I RE-LEARNED. I PRAY TO CONFIRM THAT THE CHURCH IS TRUE ALL THE TIME AND EVERY TIME I RECIEVE CONFIRMATION. I THINK OF IT AS THE FIRST PRESIDENCY STATED AT THE END OF THE MOVIE HOW RARE A POSESSION. "WE INVITE EVERYONE TO DISCOVER THE  BOOK OF MORMON NOT ONLY DISCOVER IT BUT REDISCOVER IT" IT WAS SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

Hey everyone,

 

Well the calls have been made for transfers and I will be staying here in Layton and be training another missionary from the MTC. I wll be able to tell you a little about him next week.

 

We had a baptism this week and it went well. We have three more this month.

 

We do not have much time because Elder Tidwell has a ton to do.

 

It seems that we have been having several busy P-days lately.

Hey everyone,

 

It was good to be able to talk to you. Well I am in an even bigger hurry than last week. We have to fill the font for a baptism at three. It is really exciting to be able to hold a baptism. it feels like it has been a while in comparison to the last ones.

 

I can't believe how fast the time flies. There is so little time but there is still much I can do in that time I have left. Next week will begin my final transfer in the mission....that is scary I will tell you what happens with that next week.

 

Elder Tidwell used Skype to contact his family and the old lady saw the picture in the computer and had no idea that it was a picture and thought that the hallway behind his family was there and asked her granddaughter if she was going down that hall to get her dinner. It was pretty funny.

 

In other news we spoke in the Tongan branch I saved the program because it was in Tongan it was kind of cool to be able to use a little Tongan that I learned from Elder Kafoa in that talk.

 

I got Grandma's Package thank you so much Grandma. I love the talk John Bytheway is a very inspirational speaker.

1. Tell us another faith promoting story?? I need some to share as spiritual thoughts at church. (at least a hundred words)
 WELL I WAS HOPING TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER THIS SO HERE IT GOES:

LORRAIN NELSON FROM WEST OGDEN HAS BEEN DOING REALLY WELL. SHE IS RIGHT ON TRACK FORTHE TEMPLE IN FEBRUARY. SHE HAS BEEN AMAZING HOW MUCH ENTHUSIASM SHE HAS HAD FOR THE GOSPEL. SHE DOES BAPTISMS FOR THE DEAD AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. SHE STILL ENCOURAGES HER MOM TO MEET WITH THE MISSIONARIES. IT IS AMAZING YOU HAVE THESE PEOPLE THAT STRUGGLE AND THEN YOU HAVE THE ONE PERSON THAT WORKS THEIR HARDEST. IT MAKES THOSE TEN PEOPLE THAT STRUGGLE WORTH THE STRUGGLE THAT YOU HAD TEACHING THEM WHEN YOU TEACH PEOPLE LIKE LORRAINE. IN A WAY THE SAVIOR FELT THE SAME WAY WITH JUDAS ISCARIOT HE WAS SADDENED THAT HE WOULD BETRAY HIM BUT HE HAD JOY IN HIS FAITHFUL APOSTLES AND DISIPLES.

Seeing as there are a lot of questions and I have a time limit today I will start by answering them.

HAD A REALLY GOOD DISTRICT MEETING

WE HAVENT SCHEDULED ANY MORE BAPTISMS

1. So are you becoming an expert cleaner yet? Are you going to be able to apply those cleaning skills to your room when you get home?
 YA I KEEP OUR APARTMENT CLEAN OR SHOULD I SAY THAT NONE OF THE STUFF THAT IS SCATTERED IS MINE
2. What are you going to be doing for Christmas? Do you have multiple dinners or what?
 NO BIG PLANS YET OTHER THAN TO BAPTIZE
3. Is there a Christmas party there? Did you do anything at them or were you able to go? what kind of events did they have at them? Was the food good? What did you eat? Tell us about the Christmas party?

WE WENT TO SEVERAL THE FOOD WAS GOOD JUST SANTA CAME THAT IS THE ONLY EVENT.

 PUT IN MY PAPERS TO GO ON A MISSION....NO I GUESS I WILL GET RELEASED AND HAVE DINNER WITH EVERYONE.

 IT IS GONE RIGHT NOW

 WE ARE AT CHURCH FROM 6 TILL 4

 ELDER TIDWELL AND I WERE WALKING NEAR A HOME OF ONE OF OUR INVESTIGATORS AND WE FELT THE PROMPTING TO GO VISIT HIM. HE HAD RECIENTLY GOTTEN OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND ASKED ABOUT BLESSINGS I HAD READ IN THE BIBLE IN JAMES WHERE IT TALKS ABOUT THEM THAT MORNING AND WAS ABLE TO SHARE THAT WITH HIM AND THEN HE ACCEPTED A BLESSING. THE LORD DOES INSPIRE US.
